Community Support Review
The Federal Housing Finance Agency’s (FHFA) Community Support Requirements regulation (12 CFR 1290) requires Federal Home Loan Bank member financial institutions to document their community support activities for FHFA once every two years, by submitting a Community Support Statement to FHFA.
To maintain access to long-term Federal Home Loan Bank advances and Community Programs, Bank members must meet certain standards of community investment or service. In its Community Support Review, the FHFA takes into account the member’s performance under the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 (CRA) and the member’s record of lending to first-time homebuyers.
Members of the FHLBank San Francisco must complete and submit a Community Support Statement (CSS) online at the FHFA website from April 1st to October 29th, 2021. The CSS must be completed and executed by an appropriate senior officer of the member institution. The FHFA ID number can be found in the members list (see the link below).
