Attendees of the roundtable in Las Vegas.
LAS VEGAS, November 24, 2025 — U.S. Representative Susie Lee (NV-03), in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, convened a roundtable discussion with Nevada State Treasurer Zach Conine, representatives from Governor Joe Lombardo’s Office, and housing and community leaders from across Southern Nevada. The event, held at the Sahara West Library in Las Vegas, focused on how strengthened public–private collaboration can expand access to affordable housing and spur local economic development.
Participants discussed strategies to address Nevada’s ongoing housing crisis, with an emphasis on identifying barriers, sharing best practices, and advancing solutions that can support the state’s growing communities.
“We have a housing crisis here in Southern Nevada, and there's no silver bullet,” said U.S. Rep. Susie Lee at the affordable housing roundtable. “To solve the problem, it's going to take everyone working together — from federal investment to our state authority, city and county regulators, private banks, home builders, and realtors. It's an all on board moment.”

Rep. Lee, whose district includes southern Las Vegas and large portions of unincorporated Clark County, joined participants to address the region’s escalating housing needs and to explore collaborative approaches for increasing the supply of affordable homes. The State Treasurer and the Governor’s Office representative contributed perspectives on the state’s housing priorities, funding tools, and opportunities to align federal, state, and private-sector resources to accelerate housing production.
Housing and community leaders from across Southern Nevada joined the discussion, sharing ideas for expanding housing supply and housing affordability. Participants included affordable housing developers, nonprofit leaders, financial institutions, and local officials who shared insights on local needs and discussed opportunities to collaborate with FHLBank San Francisco’s housing and community investment programs.
“FHLBank San Francisco is committed to working with leaders at every level of government to expand affordable housing opportunities across Nevada,” said Joe Amato, interim president and chief executive officer of FHLBank San Francisco. “We were honored to partner with Rep. Lee, the Nevada State Treasurer, and the Nevada Governor’s Office as part of this important conversation.”
