Financial Education Initiative

We promote financial education through partnerships with members and nonprofit organizations. We also provide financial support to:

  • Develop homebuyer education materials that include information about predatory lending practices, loss mitigation, and post-purchase issues.
  • Provide on-site financial education to renters through a network of nonprofit affordable housing providers.
  • Sponsor homebuyer fairs, training, and other events and publications that lead to more low-income families becoming homeowners.

We have partnered with member Rabobank; Radio Bilingue, a nonprofit community-based public radio network; and ACORN Housing Corp. to provide financial education radio broadcasts to low-income rural families in California's major agricultural regions.
