Special Attention Bulletin
August 10, 2007 Bulletin No. 1259
New Affordable Housing Advisory Council Member Appointed
To All Members and Interested Community Groups:
We are pleased to announce that our Board of Directors has appointed Cloyd Phillips to fill a vacant position on our Affordable Housing Advisory Council (AHAC). Mr. Phillips replaces Mr. Nielsen, who resigned from the Council following his appointment to the Board in April 2007. Mr. Phillips will complete the remainder of Mr. Nielsen’s term, which ends on December 31, 2008. The AHAC is a 15-member group that advises the Bank on affordable housing and economic development issues throughout the 11th District.
Mr. Phillips is the Executive Director of the Community Services Agency & Development Corporation (CSADC), a private nonprofit corporation based in Reno that has been actively serving the Northern Nevada community since 1965. During Mr. Phillips’ 36-year tenure, CSADC has become one of the largest human services agencies in Nevada, developing and administering total family and community development programs. Under his leadership, the agency has developed over 2,000 units of affordable housing throughout the state of Nevada and has become an economic force in the community, building its economic vitality, creating jobs, and improving its infrastructure.
In closing, I would like to thank Mr. Nielsen for his contributions and dedication. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Phillips to the AHAC.
Sincerely,
Dean Schultz President and Chief Executive Officer
