Foreclosure Prevention

The most comprehensive response to the nation's foreclosure crisis is available at Making Home Affordable, President Obama’s plan to help up to 9 million American families refinance or modify their loans to a payment that is affordable now and into the future.

Bank Resources
 
Homeownership Preservation Subsidy: Grants that member financial institutions can use to restructure or refinance mortgage loans for eligible low- and moderate-income homeowners at risk of foreclosure.
 
Homeownership Preservation Advance: Credit that may be used to provide funds to modify or refinance mortgage loans for low- and moderate-income homeowners who may be at risk of losing their primary residence because of delinquency or default on their mortgage loan.
