This conference will offer financial institutions, faith communities, developers, and others the valuable tools they need to achieve their community development and affordable housing goals. In an intensive training environment, the 2-1/2-day conference will provide information and strategies that are crucial to moving community investment projects from concept to concrete.

"The Bank promotes affordable housing and economic development through innovative partnerships," said Jim Yacenda, Vice President and Community Investment Officer at the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. "This conference provides a mechanism for bringing together faith-based organizations, financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and others for in-depth training on how to meet the community investment challenges of their communities."

Keynote speaker U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Alphonso Jackson will talk about the White House’s faith-based initiative and other housing-related policy issues.

Organized by the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, the conference is sponsored by Citibank (West), Washington Mutual, and Century Housing. "Making Your Vision A Reality: A Faith-Based Conference for Affordable Housing and Economic Development," will be held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel.
