Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco Hosts Reception for Arizona and Nevada Delegates at the 2008 Republican National Convention
On September 3, 2008, the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco hosted a reception for the Arizona and Nevada delegations at the Republican National Convention. Focused on the nation’s housing woes, the event attracted more than 200 delegates and public officials, including Rep. Jeff Flake (AZ-6).
According to Dwight Alexander, Vice President of Legislative Affairs at FHLBank San Francisco, “This gathering gave us new insight into the housing issues facing residents in Arizona and Nevada who, along with Californians, have been especially hard-hit by falling home prices and rising foreclosures.”
Delegates had an opportunity to hear from Mr. Alexander about how the Bank and its member financial institutions can help their neighbors and constituents in these challenging times.
“The Bank and its members have programs available that can help homeowners keep their homes when they fall behind or can no longer afford their mortgage payments,” Mr. Alexander said, “And we are sponsoring workshops throughout the 11th District to increase awareness of programs and resources that can help homeowners resolve issues with their mortgages and keep their homes.”
