Two Senior Vice Presidents, One Vice President Appointed at the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco
San Francisco—The Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco has promoted Suzanne Titus-Johnson to Senior Vice President and General Counsel and Kevin Gong to Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Securities Counsel, effective April 1, 2005. In addition, the Bank has hired Jeannette Paul to serve as the Vice President, Accounting Policy.
Ms. Titus-Johnson is Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In this position, she serves as the Bank’s chief legal officer; she also directs and manages the Bank’s legal staff and outside counsel. Ms. Titus-Johnson first joined the Bank as Staff Attorney in 1986 and, following several promotions, was made Vice President, Assistant General Counsel in 1999. She has advised the Bank on a variety of core business products and services, including advances, mortgage loan purchases, and community investment programs. Ms. Titus-Johnson earned a B.A in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
Mr. Gong is Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Securities Counsel. In this position, Mr. Gong provides legal counsel to the Bank on securities law and corporate governance matters, including disclosure issues and compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and legal requirements. Mr. Gong joined the Bank in 1997 as Vice President and Associate General Counsel. Prior to joining the Bank, he was Senior Attorney with the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), West Region, where he also received an interim assignment to serve as a Special Assistant to the Director of OTS in Washington, D.C. Prior to his work at the OTS, Mr. Gong worked as an attorney for a Washington, D.C., firm specializing in banking and securities law. Before that, he was an attorney with the SEC in the Division of Corporation Finance and the Division of Market Regulation. Mr. Gong earned a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and an LL.M. in Securities Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center.
Ms. Paul is the Vice President, Accounting Policy. In this role, Ms. Paul is responsible for developing and implementing accounting policy across the Bank. Prior to joining the Bank, she was with Resources Global where she provided accounting consulting services to various organizations. Her professional experience includes over 12 years in public accounting, most recently with Deloitte & Touche in Merger & Acquisition Services, where she was responsible for performing accounting due diligence. Ms. Paul holds a B.A. in Economics and Management from Albion College.
